What We Do

We work with and empower vulnerable and marginalized communities, including refugees and host communities, with a focus on women, youth and persons with disabilities (PWDs), to build dignified, resilient and self-reliant livelihoods.

EDUCATION

FRENA Community Training Centre

We train basic skills to refugees and local target groups with the sole motive of making them self-reliant and able to live a life of dignity. All our trainings are accredited by NITA.

EDUCATION

Fashion & Design

Our Fashion and Design programme gives students the skills and knowledge they need to excel in tailoring and dressmaking. It opens doors to many career paths: whether students want to become fashion designers, start a business or build a rewarding skill, the programme gives them a solid foundation in the world of fashion and design.

EDUCATION

ICT & Digital Skills

Our ICT classes prepare students for the digital age. Students gain the essential skills to navigate today’s technology-driven world — to access online education and employment, run small businesses and stay connected with their loved ones. Classes run in our dedicated computer lab.

Languages

At the FRENA Language Center we offer English, Kiswahili and French. Language is a cornerstone of success: it helps students excel academically and professionally, and helps refugees integrate into their host communities.

EDUCATION

Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy

Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy training gives students the skills to offer hairstyling and beauty services, helping them secure jobs and build their own client base, while building confidence and a sense of purpose. (Replace this photo with one from the class.)
